In literacy we have been learning about different kiwi innovators we have learnt about their different inventions. Some were EasiYO or Jet Boats. I enjoyed learning about the different things Nzers have made.

Geometry!

This week at school we have started learning about Geometry at maths time. We have been looking at 2D and 3D shapes. My favourite shape is a sphere. What is your favourite shape? Here are a few pictures of shapes that I found around my school.

Food Science

Hi Bloggers in literacy we have been learning about food preservation. We have learnt so much about mould and how food is kept for different activities and places.

Friday Free Writing

  

Hi Bloggers, In literacy me and carter been working on The plane crash in ancient greece  it is a  

work in process. We did this for a free write. I have tried to include some figurative language.

Air-Fried Sweet Potato Fries

In lockdown me and my mum made sweet potato fries in our airfryer. The recipe is below.

Recipe:

4 sweet potatoes

1/2 - teaspoon of oil

What to do:

Peel the potatoes

Cut the potatoes to chip size

Soak the potatoes in water for 30 minutes

drain and dry then coat with oil then put in airfryer or oven for 30 minutes, shake them at 15 minutes

Once cooked sprinkle salt over them and enjoy.

The Battle of the mountains

Today in class we have been learning about the Legend of the North Island Mountains.

We choose to re-create the story through an animation. I really enjoyed making this with Blake it is still work in progress.
